Kimi Code and DSH

Sandbox Kimi Code and DSH, whose hooks can block a command but not rewrite it.

Kimi Code's hooks and DSH's hook bridge can allow or block a command, but not change it. So boxer uses tool mode. The hook blocks the shell, and the agent runs commands through the boxer_run MCP tool instead. An agent that uses the tool is never blocked.

Kimi Code

boxer install kimi
git add .kimi-code .agents
git commit -m "Run Kimi's commands in boxer"

Then:

  1. Append the block boxer install prints to ~/.kimi-code/config.toml. Kimi reads hooks only from the user config.

  2. Add this to boxer.toml:

    [harness.kimi]
    mode = "tool"

PATH shims also work in Kimi's shell. See PATH shims.

Tested in the matrix with tool mode, PATH shims and inside mode.

DSH

boxer install dsh
git add .dsh .agents
git commit -m "Run DSH's commands in boxer"

Then start DSH with --patch .dsh/cordis.patch.yml, and add this to boxer.toml:

[harness.dsh]
mode = "tool"

Tested in the matrix with tool mode.

Check it

boxer doctor

Then ask the agent to run node -p process.platform. It uses boxer_run, and prints linux.
